WASHINGTON, D.C. (AgPR) | A new effort to take the pulse of America’s grocery sector was unveiled today. Spearheaded by Phil Lempert, renowned food industry analyst and Supermarket Guru, and powered by research from Ohio-based Stratovation Group, the Grocer Executive Panel will gather insights from retail food executives related to innovations, market trends, and breaking issues.
The Grocer Executive Panel Report is a tool that supermarket executives and food companies can use to better inform their decisions in the retail food sector, according to Lempert.
"The Grocer Executive Panel will be a noncompetitive effort for grocery executives to share information and benefit from insights shared by their peers,” Lempert said. “This collaboration between Stratovation Group and Supermarket Guru will empower decision-makers in the retail food sector with information intended to lift all boats, and ultimately benefit the consumer, and perhaps even the farmer who grew the food. We’re making the food system smarter through shared information.”
Stratovation Group, a research, marketing and strategic communications firm with a focus in the food and agriculture sector, will manage the research effort. Lempert will issue the Grocer Executive Panel Reports twice monthly.
Cam Camfield, Founder and CEO of Stratovation Group, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration.
"By combining our research expertise with Phil Lempert's industry knowledge, our goal is to create a powerful resource for the grocery and food sectors,” Camfield said. “The Grocer Executive Panel will provide decision-makers with valuable data and analysis to navigate the ever-changing landscape of the retail food industry. Additionally, these reports will assist in monitoring consumer behavior, empowering retailers and food industry officials to tailor their offerings and devise effective marketing strategies.”
According to Lempert, the effort will enable decision-makers to stay abreast of industry developments and make data-driven decisions that positively impact their businesses.
"Collaborating with Stratovation Group allows us to create a collective intelligence resource that will drive industry innovation and inform decision-making,” Lempert said. “The Grocer Executive Panel will provide executives with valuable insights to stay ahead in this highly competitive market. I’m excited to work with Stratovation Group to create a valuable resource for the retail food sector."
Topics to be included in future Grocer Executive Panel Reports include technical developments, consumer preferences, pricing trends, supply chain disruptions, and other critical issues impacting the retail food sector. Additionally, these reports will assist in monitoring consumer behavior, empowering retailers and food industry officials to tailor their offerings and devise effective marketing strategies. The survey platform will be designed to be fast and user-friendly, ensuring efficient data collection and analysis.
