ESCONDIDO, Calif. (AgPR) – San Diego County Farm Bureau’s annual Farm and Nursery Expo will be held at the California Center for the Arts in Escondido on Thursday, November 10 from 9:00am –3:00pm. The expo is free and designed to support the diversity of Southern California agriculture. In 2021, the direct economic output from agricultural production in San Diego County totaled $1.7 billion. Attendees will have the opportunity to network with vendors, learn about the newest technology and equipment for their garden, farm, or nursery, and hear from top agricultural experts in the expo’s seminar series. The Department of Pesticide Regulation has approved 3.5 hours of Continuing Education credits for select seminars, and the San Diego Region Irrigated Lands Group has also approved 1 hour of credits for the water seminar. Seminar series topics include: Top 10 Pesticide Laws & Regulation Violations, Invasive Pest Updates, UCCE Small Farms Research, The Magnitude of Water, How to Use Beneficials & Pesticides When Managing Pests in Ornamentals, and a seminar in Spanish.
