ARLINGTON, Va. | The National Association of State Departments of Agriculture Foundation is proud to announce the hiring of Chris Jones as Senior Director of the NASDA Foundation. He will lead projects and programs, strengthen partnerships and elevate the foundation’s visibility. "I feel privileged to join and work with the dynamic NASDA Foundation team. This experience will provide me with an opportunity to directly impact the world today and future generations by building public trust, understanding and confidence in agriculture,” NASDA Foundation Senior Director Chris Jones said. “I look forward to providing thoughtful leadership that will serve NASDA members, agricultural communities and all Americans through collaboration, unification and amplification of NASDA Foundation projects and programs.” NASDA CEO Ted McKinney and NASDA & NASDA Foundation President, Wyoming Director of Agriculture Doug Miyamoto shared their enthusiasm about the selection. “The NASDA Foundation is fortunate to have Chris Jones as the new Senior Director,” McKinney said. “We are excited about his experience in partnerships that transcend the food & agriculture value chain and his work that supports agriculturalists through education, promotion and research.” “With a clear strategic plan in place, a strong team and intentional programs and projects, this is an exciting time for the NASDA Foundation,” Miyamoto said. “I am confident that Chris will guide the Foundation to new heights as the Senior Director.” Jones most recently served the National Pork Board as the Director of Strategic Partnerships. In that role, Jones cultivated collaboration between the National Pork Board and producers. Jones also led educational strategies, community growth and engagement through collaborations with Ag in the Classroom, Nourish the Future and National Theatre for Children.
